I bought these skates for my son and he took about three days to learn them, and he loved them so much, I just couldn’t take them off his feet later. But he spent about $60 with new bearings and wheels, because the ones that came with it were mediocre, he said. He bought swiss bones bearings and 65mm wheels for longboard. Besides that, I found them a little pricy, too.

I bought these after being disappointed with the small amount of speed I got from my ripstik. After watching the instructional video on Youtube, and seeing a great deal of fun tricks being done, I wanted to get Freelines.

The first day I bought them, I couldn’t help but follow the instructional video’s advice of holding onto a sturdy hand-rail and moving myself back and forth with my arms. Seriously, I couldn’t leave that rail until after four or five hours of practice (my time on the rail was split across a few days).

I had two main challenges as a beginner, the first was learning to forcefully twist my feet to steer, and the second was using this twisting to steer both feet independently. This takes practice.

When I first started moving along a sidewalk, a large problem shows itself: the presence of cracks, twigs, and rocks. It doesn’t take much to stop you if you’re putting along at beginner speeds, and that means you’re suddenly off of your skates. Don’t worry too much, because if you slip and fall, you just let gravity take your foot straight down and it’s on the ground, safe and sturdy.

After a couple weeks, I became comfortable enough to use it as a method of transportation. My speed feels like a slow run. Maybe 5 to 8 mph. Speeds are hard to hold on rough asphalt, but I’m sure I’ve gotten past 10 mph.

These skates were built for going down hills, where skaters report going well over 30 mph. All of my riding has been on flat surfaces; I just haven’t had time to go out to a hill.

I’m not sure if it’s entirely caused by these skates, but I believe I should mention that my knees feel a little worse for wear.

Using these skates takes leg muscle, control, and practice, but for now they seem worth the effort.

I ordered a pair for myself. At first it looks easy but when i tried it out , it was so hard. I think if i had enough patient i would mastered it. Anyways, be prepared. It is not as easy as it look. It took me around 1 week to get the hang of it but i couldn’t keep the momentum and couldn’t turn. I just realize that this is only use on the street. If you try to ride on sidewalk or something, it’s hard because of the cracks. Especially when you move from sidewalk to side walk, you should watch out for the bump. I prefer sticking to the old roller skates 1 since i feel more secure and can easily move from sidewalk to sidewalk. Good luck to all those who attempt to master it.

These things are damn fun. Don’t expect to get on them and ride them right away but don’t expect to put in hours of practice to learn how to do so. Instructional video helped a little but they can’t teach you how these things are gonna feel once you step onto them.

Some advice: The first thing you’re gonna want to do once you get these is put new wheels and bearings on them because the stock ones are absolute crap. The wheels aren’t totally necessary but the bearings hardly spin. New bearings will totally help your momentum and reduce the amount of effort you need to use to simply go. I put on bones reds bearings because their inexpensive (about 12 dollars) and well reviewed and the improvement was incredible. More money will buy even better bearing but mine seem to work great for me now. My next set will almost definitely be more expensive ones to see if I can get even more improvement.

As far as wheels are concerned, better ones will increase grip/traction and probably help you balance better since all the weight from your leg is centered over the base of the wheels. Despite what Ryan Farrelly says in the instructional video, THE FREELINE STOCK WHEELS ARE NOT 72MM WHEELS. In fact 72mm wheels won’t even spin on these things because of the shape of the mold. How you can have misinformation about a product you invented in your own instructional video is beyond me but they managed. The set wheels I bought (make that second* set of wheels I bought) are 65mm and even those seem slightly wider than the stock ones but they work great. Don’t waste your money buying wheels through Freeline either, they’re overpriced and mediocre. Any skate shop will have a selection of way better 65mm wheels for around 29 dollars and in more interesting colors than the plane jane primary colors.

Good for learning, couple nicks already, but, I would like to move up to a real razor sharp barber knife eventually. Practice, practice, practice. FYI: It’s very lightweight, plastic with stiff metal holder, and the plastic red straight-edge razor holder is a bit tricky at first, but you should be able to pry it open with a little effort. Wish it came with more tips or a care book, or something, though.

As a professional barber i use this razor everyday for everything from facial shaves to lining up sideburns. The ease of use and quick and easy replacement of blades make it a must have for professional and personal use. The only downside i have come across is that the plastic blade holder can get brittle when left in a jar of disinfectant for long periods of time. Keep your razor clean and it will work wonders for you.

This razor is my first so I don’t have alot to compare it to. From my personal experience, however, I really enjoyed using it. It fits comfortably in my hand and was very light. I have used it to shave multiple times now and have had no problems with the razor itself. I seriously think for the price it is a great buy for beginners. I don’t know enough about straight razors to tell someone that is very experienced much about it.

First off this is a beautiful sword have no doubt about that. There are only two gripes (and are rather trivial) that I have about it and are the only reason it gets a 4 instead of a 5.

1) “China” is written on the blade in some yellow ink.

2) The use of plastic for the “fuchi” and “kashiri.”

As for everything else this is a great sword and definitely worth it. I love this sword it makes a great addition to my meager collection and looks great. As for the “china” and the plastic for the price and surprising quality it’s quite easily ignorable.

This sword is very beautiful. From what I can tell it is a perfect replica except for the habaki (base of the blade) which is gold instead of black like in the manga. This does look nice though.

In terms of it being functional, the blade is relatively sharp. The only thing I have cut is the cardboard shipping box and it went through easily. This did cause the black liquid finish on the blade to smudge however and it will not buff off. The black finish also has a couple small chips in it. Cutting things with this blade does seem like it will mess up the black finish, so this hurts the “functionality” a bit and is why I gave it 4 stars. Other than that, this is a very nice sword and a very good price with all the accessories.

The sword is awesome! It came in a box and in a cloth bag. For the money it is absolutely worth it.The blade is decently sharp and the blade is black just like in the anime. This is an interesting scooter. I’ve had this for about 2 month now and it took me a good 2 days to get it moving. It is fun to go downhill, going on a flat surface I can go about 3 mph and it is almost impossible to go uphill. I found that my tires needed to be over inflated/hard to get moving. This was my first scooter of this kind and I would suggest probably starting on the poly tires. As far as Trikke’s training video/riding instructions, it is not as easy as they make it look. I find that it is more of an upper body workout then a leg workout to get it to move. More of what they call “punching” with your hands than “rocking” to move. I thought that I would be riding this around my neighborhood while my kids were on their regular scooters or tricycle, but I still find it hard to get down the street and back. I cannot say that I would recommend this nor would I discourage somone from buying it, just know what your getting into.

I was so excited to buy this for my husbands birthday. When he opened it he was like a kid again with his new toy. The trikke was broken. It looks like it was broken during shipment. The push button on the handle bar shaft had broken off and was inside of it.

We emailed Amazon and they overnighted him a new one the next day. We were very pleased by how fast they took care of the problem.

Again when my husband came home he was pleased to see another trikke. He opened the box and the same problem. Now he’s just not happy with the product. He could have rode it without the button being fixed, but it was the simple fact that I paid approx. $300 for the product. It shouldn’t be broken. I could see his point.

I emailed Trikke to see if this problem happens often and the answer was YES! Maybe they should package it differently if it’s happening during shipment. Trikke offered to send us the part and walk us thru the procedure on how to fix it, but we declined and sent both back.

I don’t know what to get him now for his birthday. Very disappointed that this was broken twice. I’m sure it would be wonderful to have and a lot of fun.

really neat product, but definitely not as easy as it looks on the infomercial or the accompanying training video. i hurt from the neck down the next morning–guess that means i’m working muscles that don’t get a lot of exercise. the next day i was fine. the blog site, [...], is highly recommended–especially if you’re not near fellow trikkers. everyone’s enthusiastic about trikking and willing to provide tips to make your trikking experience a better one. it was simple to assemble, even though i had to remove the handlebars and reinstall because i didn’t pay close enough attention to the routing of brake cables. very happy with my trikke–not as happy with my ability, but i keep on practicing.

I saw the infomercials on television and really wanted one. Well, I bought this one from Amazon and absolutely love it. It was hard to catch on riding at first. It took me three days of trying over and over again on our driveway. Rocking back and forth and trying to get as good as the riders in the commercial. We have a long driveway with a slight incline so that was harder to learn on. Also, I had the rubber wheels instead of the polyurethene ones. That also seemed harder. Just watch the cd that comes with the trikke about 10 times and finally you’ll catch on. I still can’t get up hills but am doing much better on slight inclines. It must be a breeze to ride if you have flat land like in California by the beaches where they filmed the commercial. It is fun and really great exercise. I never get bored with it like other things I have boughten. Also, make sure your wheels are pumped tight like 80#. It seems that when you first start riding the trikke it is kind of stiff, but after riding a week, everything seems to loosen up and it gives better. Make sure your brakes aren’t rubbing up against the wheels also. That was part of my problem at first. Google “Trikke talk” and you will find the trikke website that has all kinds of expert trikkers on to help answer any problems you may be having. I’m 44 years old and enjoying this new toy!

I am having a really difficult time riding this…I have practiced and practiced and have watched the video more times then I can count. I live in an area that is not totally flat but is not hilly either…just some minor grades and unless I am on a downward grade I cannot make the trikke go. I am going to keep trying because I have seen people on the video ride it so it must be possible.
